2 New Healthy Breakfast Ideas You May Never Have Thought Of!

It is lovely to wake up and have a great meal you really enjoy to look forward to as a motivation for getting out of bed. We understand that the same old same old just doesn’t do it for you anymore and that eating healthy can sometimes feel like a chore. It doesn’t have to!

Breakfast Idea 1

French Toast Scramble with Ezekiel Raisin Bread

Ingredients:

  • 2 Slices of Ezekiel Raisin Sprouted Bread
  • 1 whole egg
  • 3 Egg whites
  • Cinnamon
  • Choice of Syrup – Walden Farms wild blueberry is a great choice for a no-calorie option.

Directions:

  1. This is a super easy recipe – Spray the pan if need be with coconut or olive oil lightly.
  2. Then crack in the whole egg and separate out the 3 whites into the pan and toss the yolks.
  3. Take the two pieces of Ezekiel Bread and lightly dip them on one side in the egg.
  4. Flip and allow them to set in the pan as well.
  5. Scramble the egg in the pan while flipping the French Toast repeatedly until lightly golden browned. Cut the toast up with the spatula and stir around with the egg.
  6. Once everything is cooked, remove from heat and sprinkle with cinnamon.
  7. Add syrup as desired. *add your favorite fruit for more energy and nutrition!

Breakfast Idea 2

Protein Pancakes and Turkey Sausage or Bacon

Ingredients: (per pancake)

  • 1 whole egg
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 scoop of protein powder
  • Syrup of choice

Directions for the Protein Pancakes:

  1. Mix in a bowl all of the above ingredients.
  2. Heat a frying pan and spray lightly with coconut or olive oil.
  3. Pour in slowly the pancake mix.
  4. Allow it to heat slowly and it will rise like a pancake, Flip repeatedly until it looks done. It will look like the consistency of a normal wheat-based pancake.
  5. At the same time, cook 2 slices of turkey bacon or turkey sausage!

Both of these meals are healthy, low-calorie, and packed with protein! They are satisfying while still being good for you.
