Melanie Bowen Massage Fort Myers

Melanie is originally from Maryland and she moved to Florida 5 years ago.  After moving from Maryland she wanted a new career, and since she always had an interest in a more holistic approach to wellness, she enrolled in Florida Academy in Fort Myers.  At the Florida Academy, Melanie studied both massage therapy and skin care.  She holds a dual license as a Massage Therapist (LMT) and a Skin Care Specialist (SCS).

She has also studied Manual Lymphatic Drainage at the Manual Lymphatic Drainage Institute in Miami, FL, and she is a Certified MLD Practitioner.  Melanie has also taken classes to receive a certificate in Microcurrent Point Stimulation (MPS) for pain relief and enhancement of scarring recovery.

Melanie is very driven to continue her education in different massage therapy modalities.  She has a passion for helping people obtain relief from pain and for relaxation from everyday stresses of daily living.

Melanie resides here locally in Fort Myers. She has two grown children that are occasionally at home and her mother who resides in the home too.  She loves spending time with her family, traveling, and hanging out with her two Pit Bull snugglebugs.

She looks forward to meeting you and being a part of your health and wellness plan.

Massage isn’t just for relaxation and stress. Massage is literally a body mechanics adjustment.

Regular massage visits help to keep your body in alignment just as chiropractic adjustments can. When your body is in alignment, you feel better and your immune system remains stronger. Meaning you are less likely to get sick or develop an illness. Studies show those who undergo regular adjustments combined with massage therapy are up to 40% less likely to catch the seasonal flu as those who do not.

Many of us put everyone else in front of ourselves feeling that taking care of yourself is pampering and being selfish. The truth is that if you don’t take care of you, eventually you may not be able to take care of anyone else either. It is not selfish in the least. If you aren’t feeling your very best, I would like to personally invite you to give the office a call.

I would love to meet with you and discuss your health and see how massage therapy could benefit you personally.
