Sleep Disorders, Are You At Risk?

Everyone knows that a good nights sleep is vital for mental, emotional, and even spiritual health. When we develop sleep disorders and our bodies and minds do not receive enough true rest the results can be devastating.

While sleep issues can affect anyone at any age the focus of our current study was on those who fall on the Autism spectrum.  Fact is that those with autism are three times more likely to suffer from ongoing sleep disorders. They are the highest risk population. The results showed that they got lower quality and shorter duration sleep within this segment of the population. Because of this, their parents tended to get less rest as well.

The CDC now estimates that between 5-11% of the child population has ADHD (Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) and that 50% of the children with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) also have ADHD. Both conditions lead to the same sleep issues.

In an article written by a scientist at MIT back in 2015 he linked Monsanto’s use of Roundup to the rise in Autism in children making the prediction that half of all U.S. children will be autistic by the year 2025 if things continue as they are.

Glyphosate, the main chemical in Roundup has also been linked directly to Alzheimer’s disease, Heart Disorders, MS, Parkinson’s disease, Cancer, Serotonin level drops leading to depression and anxiety, and many more physical issues.

What you can do to avoid glyphosate

Avoid the primary GMO food – Soy, Corn, and Canola. All non-organic cereals and grains, wheat, rice, oats, barley, buckwheat, millet, oats, rye, and popcorn.

Of course, sleep issues do not have to be caused simply by glyphosate exposure or autism. There can be many dietary, lifestyle, stress-induced, or health reasons why you aren’t getting enough shut-eye.
