Are You Coming Down With a Summer Cold?

When most of us think “Cold” we think winter and fall. Chillier days, darker weather, and a warm cup of tea. The truth is you can catch a cold any time of year if your immune system is not working full force.

Summer colds, despite our best efforts, still happen. Many in Southwest Florida are reporting symptoms right now at the end of June. While there is not a “cure” for the common cold, there most certainly are ways you can naturally boost your immune system to help fight it off in the shortest amount of time possible. Don’t just let that cold linger.

What You Can Do Today To Get Back On Your Feet Again!

Rest and take good care of yourself.

Hot fluids like tea, soups, coffee, all help and just feel good

Chiropractic Adjustments – If you feel under the weather chiropractic adjustments can get your nervous system working at a higher capacity and actually speed the body’s healing ability.

Take 2,000mg Vitamin C every 6 hours. (liposomal Vitamin C absorbs the fastest) Or if you are near a holistic medical spa some will offer intravenous Vitamin C!

Oscillococcinum – This is a homeopathic medicine for flu-like symptoms (body aches, headache, fever, chills, and fatigue). It is intended to shorten the duration and intensity of any cold or flu. http://www.oscillo.com/

Nano Silver 10ppm 3x daily 1 spoonful. http://www.silversolutionusa.com/

Drink a gallon of pure clean non-fluoridated water throughout the day. Add a pinch of Pink Himalayan salt for the trace minerals.

Oregano oil capsules or essential oil (1 capsule 2x a day) or oil applied to the back of neck brain stem area as needed. (note: Oregano is a “hot” oil so if you have sensitive skin mix 2-3 drops with a teaspoon of coconut, safflower or other oil before application.)

To Treat Cough: Pineapple juice helps as well as mixing a hot toddy of – Apple cider vinegar (1 teaspoon full), Lemon (fresh) 1/2 squeezed into the mug, hot water,  a dash of cinnamon, add honey to taste.

Hang in there – You will feel better soon. Come in for an adjustment to speed up the process or even better yet, come in while you still feel good and avoid it altogether!
