Allergy medicines are a multimillion-dollar industry.
Every year “Allergy Season” rolls around and many people feel just awful. It can encompass sneezing to watery itchy eyes that tear down your face, red eyes, watery runny nose, stuffy nose, congestion, swollen eyes, and dreadful headaches. Symptoms in some may get so severe they can barely function in normal daily life as day after day it becomes very draining on the body.
Avoiding what you are allergic to is of course the best action but figuring out what it is can be tough to say the least.
Allergy remedies both natural and pharmaceutical are widely available and advertised.
Local Honey: Allergy relief can be promised from taking local honey as a type of natural inoculation believing that if you continually consume what is in the air (pollens) you become immune over time, to whatever is in the air and bothering you.
Nasal Irrigation: A neti pot can be used to wash out the particulate from your sinuses.
HEPA Filters: Help reduce allergens in the air inside your home.
Natural herbs: Butterbur, Stinging Nettle, Quercetin, and Bromelain both are natural antihistamines and help reduce nasal swelling.
Breathing in Essential oils: peppermint, lemon, lavender in combination help reduce allergy symptoms.
Probiotics: help improve symptoms of allergic rhinitis.
Chiropractic adjustments often help allergies: If the spine is misaligned in the neck area it can cause you to be more susceptible to allergies. Proper alignment can help quash symptoms.
If natural routes aren’t cutting it there are a slew of allergy medicines on the market available by prescription as well as over the counter.
If the over the counter and even prescription methods fail, it may not be a legitimate allergy you are experiencing. If you take a medication that contains pseudoephedrine and it helps for the designated amount of time on the box, but no other allergy medications help whatsoever, you likely don’t have an actual allergy.
If this is the case, should you do allergy testing, it likely will come up clean as in you have no allergies. Which will make no sense at all to you as you are experiencing what seems to be severe allergy symptoms.
What you most likely do have is a chemical (pollution/environmental) sensitivity. Over time chemicals in our world can do damage to the nasopharyngeal layer. It needs to be healed. One of the best ways to do that is with a nebulizer and glutathione. This breathing treatment will help to restore the worn layer and hopefully give you back your natural immunity over time.
Nebulizing glutathione and keeping up with your chiropractic care given a little time should get you back to feeling ok again.
